This year the NFL has a three game Thanksgiving slate, with each game having some significance it’s imperative that all the teams step up their games for Thursday.
Game One
Texans @ Lions
The surging AFC favorite Houston Texans take their 9-1 record to the motor city to face the slumping Lions, who stand at 4-5. The Texans are coming off a near disastrous game against the Jaguars, despite being heavily favorited. While I don’t expect the game to be a blowout, I do think the Texans will get their act together as the game presses on and will go on to beat the Lions easily. I think we’ll be looking at final score of: 32-16 Texans.
Game Two
Redskins @ Cowboys
This is a battle for NFC East ‘near’ supremacy, with the victor most likely going on to be the team that challenges the Giants for the number one spot. But with that said, babysteps, both teams are under .500 with the Redskins at 4-6 and the Cowboys at 5-5. This game will be one with high stakes, and with the road team having a history of schooling the Cowboys in their building I see no reason why RG3 won’t go off for huge numbers. The key for the Cowboys will be all in how Romo plays, which Romo will they get? Mr. Inconsistent, or a Romo of old who can keep the chains moving and orchestrate his offense. If the Cowboys don’t do their part they’ll go down in crushing defeat. So I’ll take the Redskins to narrowly beat the Cowboys 24-20
Game Three
Patriots @ New York Jets
Call me crazy, and you will, but I don’t think people understand how even this game really is. Hear me out, we all know Gronk is injured and won’t be in this week, but the bigger issue for the Patriots is their crappy defense. How many points has it given up to ‘subpar’ teams this season, and even though Brady is Brady the Jets do have more pieces to contest the Patriots that other teams haven’t had. We all know the story of the Jets anemic and frankly bi-polar offense, with the Tebow saga and lack of depth with Sanchez, so it’s because of that reason that I will pick the Patriots to win, but not by much. These are two teams that always get up to play each other, and they’ve exchanged wins and losses, like I said I picked the Pats but narrowly. I see final score of 34-28.
