NY Giants Say It’s Time For David Wilson To Grow Up, Be A Man
New York Giants running back entered this season with big expectation, fresh out of Virginia Tech.
There was some talk he could unseat Ahmad Bradshaw, and possibly make him expendable.
Ten games into his rookie season, Wilson is close to being expendable.
The Giants like the potential Wilson has, but according to the New York Post, they need Wilson to “grow up.”
“David has to learn you can’t be just a runner, that’s not what we do, you have to be a complete running back, you have to be knowledgeable, you have to be smart, you can’t just accept your mistakes,” Giants running backs coach Jerald Ingram told the New York Post.
“It’s about winning games, it’s not a popularity contest. It’s time for you to grow up and be a man now and see what you can do with the whole ball of wax. Until he proves that it’s hard to stick him out there and feel comfortable.”
“All those things are taken into consideration when you determine whether a guy gets playing time or not.”
Well David, man up, or get replaced.
It’s that simple.
