Many around the Steelers organization were fearing the worst after quarterback Ben Roethlisberger went down with an apparent right shoulder injury in last Sunday’s match-up with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Roethlisberger came out and stated that it was actually a rib injury and doctors were concerned the rib would threaten his aorta.
According to Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen of ESPN, team doctors only expect the quarterback to be out 3 weeks.
A scheduled return that would put him right in line to play on December 2nd in what is sure to be a key game against division rival Baltimore Ravens.
