New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton is about three-quarters of the way through his league induced year-long suspension, but to the patient come the spoils, and Payton may be ready to cash in for his loyalty.

CBS Sports NFL Insider Mike Freeman is reporting that the Saints may be prepared to make Sean Payton the leagues highest paid head coach.

Freeman reports that Payton wants to be the highest paid, and owner Tom Benson may very well oblige him.

Reports are that Benson already feels Payton is the best coach in football, and feels a bit of loyalty to Payton for bringing his franchise a Super Bowl.

The slow start the Saints had, obviously shows in great value, Payton’s importance.

Benson may also want to shut down the Payton to everywhere rumors, with the Cowboys, Eagles, and Browns being a few of the teams who may have a head coaching opening.

Sean Payton obviously can get any job he wants.
