The Kansas City Chiefs can’t stop anyone on defensive, and the teams most important coach figures if he stop calling the defense, maybe it will get better.
Pro Football Talk is reporting that Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel will no longer call the defensive signals.
“We have a young team and some guys, the perception may be that I’m a defensive coach, that I’m a defensive coordinator, and I don’t care about other parts of the team, which is not true,” Crennel said. “But their perception may be that. By my being with them more, I think they will see I’m concerned about the whole team.”
The Chiefs are now 1-7, and Crennel feeling the heat, figures if he makes a late charge in the win column, he might save his job.
