Tyrann Mathieu To Enter NFL Draft

ESPN.com is reporting that former LSU Tiger and Heisman Trophy Finalist Tyrann Mathieu will enter the 2013 NFL Draft according to sources.

The 20-year-old Mathieu had his share of problems since being kicked off the LSU football for a variety of offenses, most notably failing several drug test.

Mathieu was arrested last month for marijuana possession.

Tyrann reportedly has been in Florida living with the family of former Tiger teammate Patrick Peterson.

I think it’s a good move for Tyrann at this point.

Another year of college anywhere would lead to more issues and opportunity to get into trouble.

Tyrann can consider Vontaze Burfict in Cincinnati as an example of guy, that even if he doesn’t get drafted, can still make a roster and live up to his potential.

  1. “Another year of college anywhere would lead to more issues and opportunity to get into trouble.”

Being a drug-addicted NFL player with lots of money could also lead to more issues and opportunities to get into trouble. Just ask Dez Bryant, Pac-Man Jones, etc…

    • Agree. Until he and his family aggressively address his addictions and stop looking for band-aids to stop the bleeding. And even if he makes it to the BIG League he will definitely have more money and more problems and in the end be featured on a 30for30 spot “broke, lost and strung-out”
