Yahoo Sports is confirming that the Oakland Raiders will be without starting quarterback Carson Palmer for the regular season finale against the Chargers.
Palmer suffered cracked ribs and a bruised lung after a massive hit by Greg Hardy. Hardy hit Palmer in the back and appeared to lead with his head.
Palmer was taken to a Charlotte area hospital for a cat scan before flying back to Oakland with his teammates. He was then taken to an area hospital and remained overnight.
Raiders coach Dennis Allen said he is undecided whether to start Matt Leinart or Terrelle Pryor in place of Palmer.
