Chiefs Will Not Publicly Memorialize Jovan Belcher

by Vashti | Posted on Sunday, December 2nd, 2012

The Kansas City Chiefs will not publicly memorialize Jovan Belcher, the linebacker that killed his girlfriend and then himself, before Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers.

Instead, the Chiefs will have a moment of silence for all domestic violence victims.

The players will not wear decals or patches on their uniforms to recognize their teammate.  It is expected that they will remember him privately as a team.
