Brent and Brown were teammates at the University of Illinois. Who knows what is going on in Brent’s mind now, but because of his actions his friend is dead.

At the time of the crash Brent was traveling at a high rate of speed on a State Highway 114 service road before he hit the outside curb. The car flipped over at least one time and then caught on fire.  At this time Brent tried to get Brown out of the car.

When policed arrived at the scene Brent was dragging Brown from the burning car.  Police found Brown unresponsive and he was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly afterwards.

Brent is being held without bail.
