While former NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue overturned the suspensions for the players, the coaches and executives in the front office are still scheduled to serve out their full suspensions.

Apparently though, Roger Goodell and Sean Payton have been talking about reinstatement before his original suspension is scheduled to be up. Goodell confirmed he and Payton have ad conversations and elaborated on their content.

Per Ed Werder of ESPN: “I don’t want to say he could be because, again, we are in the early stages,” Goodell said.

We are starting to talk about it.”

One issue that remains to be solved is Payton’s contract situation, as he needs to re-up with the Saints or he will be a free agent.
