Stop me if you have heard this before.

The Sacramento Kings announced today that center Demarcus Cousins has been suspended indefinitely for conduct detrimental to the team, per Kings President of Basketball Operations Geoff Petrie.

In Yesterday’s lost to the Clippers, Cousins reportedly mouthed off to head coach Keith Smart at halftime. Cousins was subsequently left in the locker room for the second half.

InsideHoops.com captured these quotes from Keith Smart.

We’re trying to set a standard for all of our players and all our guys who are here,” said Smart after the game. “When guys don’t fall in line to that we’ve got to move on.”

Cousins is one of the most talented young big men in the NBA, but also one of the most troubled.

He has the skill set to be one of the best centers in the game, but until he can figure out how to respect his superiors he will continue to be disciplined.
