LeBron: I’ll Never do the Dunk Contest

Well if you were one of the fans out there still holding out hope that LeBron James may someday participate in the dunk contest, let it go. It’s officially never going to happen.

He had this to say when asked whether he would ever compete.

Per Fox Sports Florida: “No,’’ said James.

It’s over with. I’m getting too old… It’s a taxing season. A lot of stars play a lot of the bulk of the minutes. So they got to protect their body and understand that they got to do what’s best for them. There were times when I wanted to do it. But I came into All-Star Weekend a few times banged up and I didn’t want to risk further injury.’’

Mildly disappointing from a fans perspective.

But, then again LeBron is years into his career already. If he was going to do it he would have.
