As we reported earlier today, sources said that Eagles head coach Andy Reid would be relieved of his duties sometime Monday morning.
Comcast Sports Net Philly columnist Reuben Frank is reporting from sources that Reid was fired immediately after the Eagles 42-7 blowout loss to the Giants.
Frank: Andy Reid, who led the Eagles through one of the most successful periods in franchise history and was once called “Coach for Life” by owner Jeff Lurie, has been fired after 14 years as head coach of the Eagles.
Reid finishes with a 130-93-1 regular season record and a .583 winning percentage. The 130 wins place Reid 23rd in NFL history.
Reid is a Southern California native and reports have him interested in the Chargers.
