Report: Cowboys Plan To Hire OC To Help Garrett With Play-calling

Dallas Cowboys v Philadelphia Eagles

Once again the Dallas Cowboys are on the outside looking into the playoffs after another disappointing win or get game.  Dallas once again choked in the season finale with a chance to make the playoffs.

Most reports say that Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett is safe in his job security, but according to Ian Rapoport of, Jerry Jones will make his head coach hire an offensive coordinator to call the plays for the team.

“The Cowboys intend to keep Jason Garrett, I have not heard this morning that that has changed,” Rapoport told NFL Network’s “Around the League” on Monday. “A better possibility is that the Cowboyscould hire an offensive coordinator to call plays for Jason Garrett and allow him to be a walk-around coach and essentially just be the leader of men that they think he can be.”

I think it’s a good idea and the only chance for the Cowboys to finally make the playoffs and get the team and quarterback Tony Romo over the hump.

To many times, Garrett puts Romo in positions to fail and not prosper.  That would allow Garrett to have his eyes and ears in every facet of the game.

  1. “to many times”

and for all you other guys, it’s not “your wrong”, it’s you’re wrong.
