Robert Griffin III can be found everywhere on TV, in print ads and now you can call him the king of jersey sales.
ESPN New York is reporting that Griffin III #10 Redskin jersey just set the all time single season sales record jersey sales since the league started keeping count 6 years ago.
The number is based on sales of jerseys on the league’s official Internet store, NFLshop.com.
The league would not give an official number on how many jerseys were sold, but Griffin III broke the record Brett Favre set twice in 2008 and 2009 with the Jets first and then Vikings.
In the past few weeks, Peyton Manning’s Broncos jersey has become the fourth-highest seller, surpassing sales of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo in 2007.
