Richard Sherman On Seahawks: We Wanted To Run Score Up On 49ers
Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll still wants to know what the deal is with Jim Harbaugh, but for at least one night Carroll and his team was on the winning end of a route.
After San Francisco beat Seattle in week 7, Seahawks players said that Harbaugh was brash enough to honk his horn several times at their team bus while he was exiting the stadium.
The Seahawks lit the 49ers up last night 42-13, and according to Seattle’s top talker cornerback Richard Sherman via Yahoo Sports, he suggested the team continue to score on the Niners.
“He honked his horn at the bus and waved,” said Seahawks cornerback Sherman, “That happened — a bunch of the guys told me. Yeah, he was (honking).”
“I’m not gonna lie to you,” Sherman recounted in a cleared-out locker room long after the Seahawks’ 42-13 victory was complete. “I told Pete, ‘Let’s score and go for two.’ He said, ‘We have more class than that.’ “
Not withstanding the possible suspension looming for Richard Sherman, the Seahawks are going to be a problem in the playoffs.
