ESPN Radio 1500 in Minnesota reports that Timberwolves guard Ricky Rubio will make his 2012 debut on Saturday against the Dallas Mavericks.
Rubio hasn’t played since March of last year when he tore his ACL. Rubio has missed both the Olympics and the start of this NBA season but is said to be in great physical shape.
ESPN 1500 sources had this to say:
The source said the Wolves, “while busy receiving trade calls, are reluctant to make any move before they see Rubio with the rest of the team.”
Rubio will add a spark to a Timberwolves team that currently sits in 8th place in the crowded Western Conference.
