The Memphis Grizzlies and Phoenix Suns are engaged in trade talks that center around small forward Rudy Gay, per Yahoo Sports.
According to sources, the Grizzlies have been shopping Gay to multiple teams and have found interest from the Suns. While there is no framework for the deal just yet, apparently the Grizzlies have expressed strong interest in the deal centering around Jared Dudley and first round draft picks.
What can be viewed as a money move, it appears the Grizzlies are attempting to avoid having to pay luxury tax in the next couple years. Not to mention Gay is owed $17.8 million this season and $19.3 million next.
