Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is extremely confident now a days, and why shouldn’t he be. He’s made a magical return from blowing out his knee, and he was 9 yards short of the single season rushing record.
Peterson is in Hawaii having a ball, and when the question of winning the NFL MVP comes up, he’s extremely confident he’ll win it according to CBSSports.com, via the Denver Post.
“I’m going to win it, I will get it,” he said Saturday at Aloha Stadium, site of Sunday’s Pro Bowl, according to the Denver Post’s Mark Kiszla.
Peterson who will go toe to toe with Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, and Manning has had fun riling Peterson up.
“Everyone should play like Adrian Peterson,” Manning reportedly said. “The guy does everything full speed. The Pro Bowl. Promoting himself for MVP.”
Peterson of course laughed off the playful Manning.
“I thought it was funny, man,” Peterson said. “Manning is always pulling somebody’s chain. This time, he got me. That’s just the way he is. And I have a ton of respect for him.”
I guess one will win Comeback Player of the Year, and one will MVP. Both are impressive, but only one takes the cake.
