Carmelo Anthony Says He Just Wanted to Talk To Kevin Garnett
Earlier BSO reported that Knicks star Carmelo Anthony waited outside of the Boston Celtics’ bus to confront Kevin Garnett after last night’s game. Usually when you meet someone outside to finish an argument it’s with the expectation that a verbal altercation will be finished physically, but Carmelo says that wasn’t the case…he just wanted to talk.
”Nothing happened for me to be suspended,” he said. ”I wanted to talk to KG. I think it was something we both needed to get off our chest and see what really the problem was. No altercations, it was just some words and a conversation that we needed to have.”
”There’s certain things that you just don’t say to men, another man,” Anthony said. ”I felt like we crossed a line, but like I said, we both had an understanding right now, we handled it the way we handled it. Nobody needs to know what was said behind closed doors, so that situation was handled.”
We’ll probably never know what words were exchanged between Anthony and Garnett, but I’m not buying that Carmelo was waiting outside just to talk…he wanted to put those paws on Garnett.
