Chip Kelly hasn’t been hired by anyone yet, so this might not mean anything. Even before this report came out, I believed if Chip Kelly was hired by the Browns and he had to choose between McCoy and Weeden, he would choose McCoy.

I think McCoy fits better within the scheme he would try to use. It would be different if Weeden was substantially better than McCoy, but I don’t think he is.

According to the report, Browns CEO Joe Banner told McCoy he is “in the next head coach’s plans.”  Maybe that was just a generic comment, but one point that Pro Football Talk mentioned was that Kelly and McCoy have the same agent, so maybe McCoy has the inside scoop.
