As we reported earlier, the Philadelphia Eagles turned a short lunch date with Oregon head coach Chip Kelly into a late night dinner date and desert.
The Browns apparently got the hint, and it seems the war to get Kelly’s services are between the Eagles and Oregon now. Ian Rapoport of NFL.com is reporting that the Eagles are selling Kelly on the ability of Michael Vick to run his uptempo read option offense.
The Eagles already have a roster full of speedy shifty backs and receivers, and Vick’s ability to run his read option offense would just top it off..
I would assume the Eagles offensive personnel and especially Vick at quarterback was more intriguing than either Brandon Weeden or Colt McCoy.
