This one of the more odd stories you will ever read, but I kid you not it is true.
Atlanta Falcons kicker Matt Bryant is a fan of the National Geographic channel. In fact, Bryant tunes in so much that he picked up a rather odd skill that he elaborated on to reporters recently.
Per USA Today: “I was watching the National Geographic Channel one day, and heard them mimicking the mating sound that brings an alligator,” Bryant said.
“So I figured I’d try and mimic the sound. Sure enough, a baby alligator came up from a retention pond behind our Tampa home.”
Bryant also told the story of frightening his golf partners with his unusual skill.
“If I’m not having a very good round, I’ll say, ‘Hey, watch this’ and do the alligator call,” Bryant said. “I did it a couple of times at Mr. Blank’s outing. The biggest one that came up from the pond was probably between 6 and 7 feet.”
The fact that he can do it so well to the point that alligators really come is slightly concerning.
Maybe Bryant should try changing the channel next time.
