Jerry Jones said that his Dallas Cowboys were head for an uncomfortable off-season unlike any we’ve seen before.  Jones stressed that changes would come, and they have.

Jones has already indicated that Jason Garrett would have a play caller brought him to help him call plays while Garrett oversees the total team.

Tuesday Jones dropped a bomb when he relieved defensive coordinator Rob Ryan of his duties.  Ryan who received the call from Jason Garrett while on a beach somewhere was taken a back by the firing, and blamed it on the injuries that debilitated his defense.

Jones wanted no part of that excuse, disputing it with the fact that in 2 of their losses, he had a full and healthy defense.  Jones was tired of the excuses, and according to ESPN Dallas felt injuries were not the excuse for the Cowboys having a bad defense.

“I thought we could play better before the injuries, and so I factored that in,” Jones said, via ESPNDallas.com. “It wasn’t like we had a lot of injuries out here when we played Chicago. It wasn’t like we had a lot of injuries when we played Seattle. I didn’t like the way we played there. It’s not hard for me to go to those games and say what can we do to improve when we played Seattle and when we played Chicago.”

“It’s not hard for me to go to those games and say what can we do to improve when we played Seattle and when we played Chicago, and I liked the way we played in subsequent games and I know we didn’t have the talent level on the field that we had when we played Seattle and Chicago.”

“It’s not hard for me to go back there and say, ‘OK, we had all of our players out there we had our talent level there,’ ” Jones said. “That’s what we’ve been saying we didn’t have. Now let’s evaluate that. When we had all of our talent level, we’ve got to be able to beat Chicago at home and we’ve got to be able to go to Seattle and win that game there.

“We know they’re formidable. We know Seattle had a good football team and I don’t think we underestimated Seattle at all when we played them. But you’re going to have to get to where we want to go and you have to go into Seattle and win games in Seattle.”

Jones simply wanted changes, and they guy or group most responsible for the Cowboys again not making the playoffs was on the offensive side of the ball.

Rob Ryan was basically the sacrificial lamb, on a defense that played poor enough at times to warrant a change if he wanted one.

Does this idiot Jones have all that gall, really? Always “blame somebody else except yourself” is his motto! Seattle and Chicago? Better teams first of all. Secondly, this was the first year that the Ryan defense had OTA’s so that they could get used to his defense, so that took a while, and Seattle and Chicago were early in the season! Those two teams had the same coordinators for a while so they were used to their own defenses, not to mention that they had better head coaches than Garrett, and notice how the Cowboys defense got much better at mid-season before the injuries took their toll? What an absolute moron Jones is and he just continues to show everyone just how inept he is. Want to make the right changes Jerry? Step down as GM and get a new head coach! Hey! Lovie Smith, who decimated your Cowboys as you said, is available! How can somebody as intelligent as Jones as a businessman be so absolutely so stupid and nieve when it comes to common sense and football! Keep blaming everybody else Jerry! Now that’s something you are really good at!
