Jeanie Buss and Phil Jackson have been dating for what seems like 100 years. He finally proposed to her earlier this month.

Jim Buss, Jeanie’s brother runs the Lakers day to day operations and doesn’t seem to be that fond of Phil. After the Lakers hastily fired Mike Brown everyone it seemed wanted Phil to come back except Jim, so he hired Mike D’Antoni.

That didn’t sit well with his sister according to Kevin Ding of Orange County Register.

Jeanie and Jim aren’t speaking to each other.

They haven’t since Mike Brown was fired as Lakers coach in early November and the Lakers went through that unseemly, confusing, hurtful dance with Phil Jackson – the love of Jeanie’s life and now her fiancé – before hiring Mike D’Antoni.

Not surprising, just another chapter that is the daily soap opera of the Los Angeles Lakers.
