Joe Johnson and the Brooklyn Nets have gotten their swag back since P.J. Carlesimo took over for the fired Avery Johnson. The Nets have the leagues best record since the start of the new year, and are talking playoffs again.
Johnson scored 25 points yesterday in a win over the Knicks, and as he proclaimed back in the summer, Johnson still thinks the Nets are better than the Knicks per ESPN New York.
“Yeah, [we’re still better than the Knicks], that’s the way I feel, man,” “That’s not gonna change.”
“They’ve beaten us twice, so we definitely want to come out and try to make a statement,” he said.
“I mean, you’ve got two teams in New York, and we wanna be the top dog. They wanna be the top dog. It’s a battle. We split. We’ll see what happens next.”
I guess we’ll see how the rest of the season plays out.
