The search to find Chip Kelly’s successor in Oregon was quick, and the ducks didn’t have to spend any travel expenses making it happen.

According to ESPN L.A., Oregon will promote offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich to head coach. ¬†Helfrich has been the Ducks’ offensive coordinator since 2009.

Oregon’s offense ranked second in the nation this season with 49.6 points per game and fifth with 537.4 yards per game. ¬†Oregon athletic director Rob Mullen made it clear from the start the Ducks would move forward.

“We’re here moving forward. We’re not going to worry about what happened. He made a decision that was best for him and we wish him well,” athletic director Rob Mullens said. “He’s been great for Oregon football and we’re moving on.”

Helfrich had a big hand in Oregon’s offense being so explosive, and I see no changes taking place.
