The Jets mess as I like to call the New York Jets organizational downfall in 2012, is still hilarious even though we have entered the off-season stage of it all.
After the Jets fired Mike Tannenbaum, it was assumed that shortly after Rex Ryan returned from his vacation there would already be a general manager in place, and the team would prepare for the 2013 season and the changes at hand.
A funny thing has happened along the way. The Jets for some odd reason can’t find a general manager, or as Jay Glazer of Fox Sports put it, “they can’t give the job away.”
“They can’t give the position away,” Fox Sports insider and NFL Network contributor Jay Glazer reported Sunday. “They are now calling back candidates that turned them down, saying please reconsider.”
Glazer points out that it’s less about head coach Rex Ryan, and more about the salary cap issues, the quarterback issues, and the owner Woody Johnson.
