Ray Lewis will step to the podium in a minute to not only answer questions about an alleged double murder 13 years ago, but now according to Pro Football Talk via Philly.com, Lewis is being question in regards to whether or not he used a banned substance to return from his torn triceps injury.
According to Sports Illustrated Lewis contacted a guy who was a male stripper who owned a company called Sports with Alternatives to Steroids (S.W.A.T.S.)
Lewis reportedly obtained deer-antler velvet extract. A gentleman named Mitch Ross of S.W.A.T.S. reportedly taped the phone call between himself and Lewis.
“Spray on my elbow every two hours?” Lewis asked Ross regarding the extract.
“No,” Ross said. “Under your tongue.”
Later Lewis reportedly told Ross “just pile me up and just send me everything you got, because I got to get back on this this week.”
The deer extract contains IGF-1, which is on the NFL’s list of banned substances.
If Lewis wasn’t retiring Sunday, he may want to now, or risk a negative test.
