Kenyon Martin Knicks

Carmelo Anthony may have a little more muscle to flex the next time his Knicks square off against Kevin Garnett’s Celtics.  Per (via Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports), the Knicks have expressed interest in free-agent forward Kenyon Martin, who most recently played with the Clippers.  Martin is reportedly open to signing a 10-day contract with the Knicks while the team waits for Rasheed Wallace to recover from his foot injury (big surprise, a 38 year-old forward who came out of retirement is struggling with a nagging injury).

Martin’s name was linked to the Knicks earlier this season, and he played with Carmelo Anthony and J.R. Smith in Denver.  I wouldn’t be surprised if Martin stayed with the Knicks longer than ten days if they decide to sign him.
