I would have expected this from a NBA or NFL player, not a hockey player, but you should never judge a book by its cover. For those who don’t know YMCMB stands for it is.

The two records labels owned by Birdman and Lil Wayne. The label of rappers Drake and Nicki Minaj among others.

Kane doesn’t give a full reason on what inspired him to get the haircut. Drake is from Canada so that is the only obvious connection. Whatever the case he was very proud of it on Twitter.
