Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will be 30 this coming December. After 8 years in the NFL, Rodgers will be entering the second half of his career soon and seems to be reflective on his past and his future. While talking to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Rodgers had this to say regarding his future in Green Bay.

I’ve had eight great years there, the last five as a starter,” Rodgers said. “Hopefully I can give them another eight plus years of playing at a high level.”

Rodgers’ current contract expires following the 2014 season.  He didn’t seem to be too concerned about a new deal when asked about it.

“We’ll see what happens with that, I’m not stressing about it,” Rodgers said. “I think the Packers would like me to be around for a few more years and I’d love to finish my career there.”

As long as both sides want to remain together, I could see Rogers playing in Green Bay for many years to come. Once Joe Flacco gets his new deal, I believe the bar would have been set for what Rodgers will expect when his time for a new contract arrives.
