After looking like one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference for much of the first half of the NBA season, the New York Knicks are now starting to come back to the pack.
The Knicks have struggled lately, and their loss to the Raptors Friday night was their 4th in a row. Mike Woodson is not feeling the team right now, but the Knicks $100 million man, Amare’ Stoudemire thinks the Knicks are to confident, or as he put it, they may “have too much swag,” according to the New York Post.
“We got plenty of swagger, we may have too much swag,’’ Stoudemire said after the loss.
“We got to get more greedy, from the standpoint of wanting to defend, wanting to win and having a sense of urgency. We have to want to win. We got to have the mentality to want to win. It don’t matter if it looks good or not. We just got to get it done. It’s not a great feeling right now.’’
Well if the Knicks want to challenge the Miami Heat in the East, they might want to temper down the swag some, and gain some humility.
