Chris Paul led the the Western Conference to a 142-138 victory over the Western Conference during this year’s All Star Games.
The Clippers point guard didn’t disappoint with his 20 point 15 assists performance, as the West went on to its third straight victory. Durant too, led his own campaign for an MVP award winning performance as his 30 points scored proved that he was no match for the East.
In the end though, Chris Paul’s all over performance garnered the most votes as it was his assists that contributed to the team victory. Of course, the win is just an exhibition for the fan’s enjoyment, but this just further proves how good the NBA gets All Star Games.
While the NFL is still busy deciding the future of the Pro Bowl and many are left scratching their head over homefield advantage being decided in the Baseball All Star games. NBA’s All Star weekend is the only one that continues to give its fans an equal share of entertainment without it being totally irrelevant.
While this year’s Houston’s stint was far from vintage the NBA still managed to deliver a good product to its world wide fans. Kudos to Mr. Paul for continuing to prove just why he’s one of the league’s premier point guards.
