The Philadelphia Eagles are now in the Chip Kelly era, and that means a fast paced offense, different formations, and a spread option attack that will be out of this world.
DeSean Jackson is in love with his new head coach and the role that Jackson will play in that offense. In order to get the most from the offense though, the Eagles will need a quarterback.
Jackson was being interviewed by NFL Network yesterday and according to ESPN.com, when asked if the Eagles should keep Michael Vick, Jackson said “it’s a no-brainer.”
“For sure I can see it. Now that Chip Kelly is our offensive coordinator, I mean our head coach, Michael Vick I think it’s a no-brainer to keep him here,” Jackson said Friday in an interview with the NFL Network. “It fits his playing style and what he’s done perfect.”
Vick is due $3 million by February 6 if he’s still on the roster, and at a salary of $15.5 million there are questions about whether or not Kelly will keep him on the roster.
Jackson though is still encourage and confident that Kelly will keep Vick as his quarterback.
“Honestly, I don’t know what it is exactly he’s going to do, but all I can say is I’m very excited,” Jackson said, according to the NFL Network.
