Elvis Andrus Scratched From Spring Training Game Due To Tattoo Soreness
This has ACTUALLY happened–Rangers short stop Elvis Andrus was scratched from a Cactus League game vs the Indians today due to muscle soreness from a tattoo.
ESPN reported on the bizarre details of Andrus’ injury which came as a result of a new tattoo. Andrus had played consecutive games earlier in the week and was scratched on Wednesday, and also sat out Thursday.
The tattoo in question spans the length of Andrus’ arm from his shoulder to his elbow. The image is a tribute to his late father with crossed baseball bats underneath.
Touching tattoo, but the fact it actually caused him to miss a game is classic weird baseball injury material. Oh, how this never gets old.
