Devon Alexander 3

I think this is just misdirection from Floyd Mayweather, but it should be noted that Devon Alexander just canceled an upcoming fight with a mysterious bicep injury.

Alexander is a solid fighter, but his name recognition beyond hard core boxing fans is null and void.  Mayweather says he is about money, but this wouldn’t be a big money fight for Mayweather.

Mayweather is always going to make money, but facing Robert Guerrero or Canelo Alvarez would be major, while fighting Alexander would just be a yawn.

With that being said as we have learned in boxing is anything can happen, but expect a worldwide groin if this is announced.  I still have my doubts.

Definitely not going to watch this fight if that is the opponent. I am hoping no one else will either so if Money is about the Money he will see his checkbook affected by such a poor decision opponent. I really wanted the ghost.

I can’t say it may be a boring fight to say the least. I feel Alexander is a good enough fighter to be in the ring with Mayweather. Like you said, anything can happen in the boxing world. Many probably didn’t feel that Cotto/Mayweather was a going to be a great fight. To be honest, I didn’t think Mayweather was going to be any fun to watch in that fight. Despite how much I don’t feel Mayweather deserves the hype given to him, he blew me away with that performance. it was because someone actually made him fight, and instead of making him look bad, it made him look hella good. Alexander may change our minds as well. Though, for some odd reason, I would have liked to see Mayweather/Trout. They seem to have the same “I’m that good” attitude ;)

Who cares? Floyd has unfortunately gotten the same thing Ray Leonard and a handful of others got: “I’m a STAR a BIG BIG STAR. I’ll do whatever I want, and you will all love me regardless.” Showbiz; not boxing. And boring as a result. I hope they sign the fight anyway, just so I can learn of this alleged “worldwide groin”.

Floyd Maywaether , while doubtlessly a defensive master of his craft , hasn’t done enough in his career ( my opinion ) to be mentioned in the same breath as the Sugar Ray Leonard’s, Wilfred Benitez’s, Thomas Heanrn’ and Marvin Haglar’s ogf this world. They were WARRIORS who fought the best of the day and usually won. They are what yuou call all time greats. Mayweather, despite his massive talent , must take on and beat the very best before he can truly be classed as a all time great.

Hey, Robert, what is a worldwide groin? You’re publishing something that your editor didn’t read?

You wrote a total of 5 paragraphs, but you screwed the last one.
