Floyd Mayweather Sr. to Train His Son Floyd Mayweather Jr. For May 4th Fight

Floyd Mayweather Sr

We reported a couple of months ago because of Roger Mayweather’s health problems that Mayweather may turned to his father to be his head trainer for his May 4th fight.

That is now a reality now.

“Me & my trainer [my dad] back working together getting ready for May 4th,” Mayweather tweeted.

We will see how long it lasts because Floyd and his father have a very rocky relationship.  They have had several blow ups on the HBO Series 24/7 and in the past have went years without speaking.  If anything it will be good television. There is still no opponent set for Mayweather’s May 4th bout, but the announcement should be coming within the next two weeks.

While Floyd tweeted the opponent would likely be Devon Alexander, insiders tell BlackSportsOnline, Robert Guerrero is still the front runner for the fight, but nothing is set in stone right now.
