The Detroit Lions are cleaning house, cutting cost, whatever spin you want to put on it. USA Today is reporting that the Lions have cut defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch.
The move was reportedly made in a cap and cost cutting measure. The release will save Detroit about $8 million in cap room.
Vanden Bosch had two more years on his contract at about $5 million per. The Lions need all the cap room they can muster as they try to sign free agent to be Cliff Avril.
