Carmelo Anthony suffered a right arm contusion last night during the Knicks loss to the Toronto Raptors, and the injury may be significant enough to cause Melo to miss the All Star Game according to ESPN New York.
Anthony said he felt discomfort throughout the game, and said the bruising was deep. He emphasized he would not risk further injury, and was willing to sit out the game.
“I’m not going to force it, definitely not going to force it,” Anthony said. “As bad as I would want to play in the All-Star Game, participate, if I can’t go, I can’t go. Nothing I can do about that.”
Anthony missed 19-of-24 shots and had just 12 points in last nights loss.
