After the Philadelphia Eagles were blown out in their season finale, and Andy Reid was fired, Michael Vick blasted his Eagles teammates for “quitting, and their lack of desire.”
Vick I assume thought his time with the Eagles was over, and he was just fed up with the lack of heart around him. Fast forward about a month and a half.
The Eagles have a new coach, new system, and surprisingly Vick is still with the team after restructuring his deal. Now Vick knowing he may have hurt some feelings that day is backtracking some, and according to Philly Mag, apologized for some of the things he said that day, and he tries to move forward with his team.
“I talked to about 15, 16 of my teammates already,” said Vick.”They know me as a person. They know me as a competitor. I wasn’t pointing the finger at one person. It would have been easy to just point out one group of guys or a couple individuals who I thought could have played better, but I said that including myself.”
Good choice by Vick to make things right. Everyone stunk last year, so it helps no one for their to be hurt feelings as off-season workouts begin.
