You can’t make this stuff up, but Oscar’s brother Carl is facing charges of culpable homicide in the death of a woman biker. His trial was suppose to start the day before Oscar Pistorius got bail.
Culpable homicide is usually “killing someone for a reason”, i.e. because someone has done something or tried to do something, another person killed him/her.

What is going with the Pistorius family? Is this just a coincidence or is there something deeper and darker going on with the brothers?
The murder case involving Olympic star Oscar Pistorius took another unexpected turn Sunday with the news that his older brother, Carl, is himself facing charges for the death of a woman in a traffic accident.
Carl Pistorius faces a charge of unlawful, negligent killing for a 2008 road death, `’in which a woman motorcyclist sadly lost her life,” Kenneth Oldwage, the Pistorius family lawyer said on Sunday. The charge of `’culpable homicide” will be challenged in court, he told The Associated Press.
Oscar is charged with premeditated murder, Carl is charged with culpable homicide and the former lead investigator is being investigated for murder.
Just a crazy case all the way around.
