We all know what rumors, and sources get you in the sports media, and that’s not much. Still they must be reported and one rumor of late is growing buzz and steam.
ESPN L.A. via a report from The Sporting News indicates that the L.A. Clippers are interested in acquiring Kevin Garnett from the Boston Celtics.
Reports indicate that no formal trade talks started but there is interest. Some say the holdup is all due to Garnett being owed $23 million over the next two years.
According to the Sporting News, the Clippers being dealt would be Eric Bledsoe and Caron Butler. Celtics brass were asked about any potential moves.
“We really haven’t talked about [moves]. Honestly. We obviously can because we need a body. But we really haven’t talked about it much at all. Nothing really. What I think Danny [Ainge] is doing is probably doing all the work right now and I’m sure this week maybe, or who knows in two weeks, he’ll come with a long list of scenarios.”
Garnett who has a no-trade clause would probably ok such a move being as though he resides in L.A. Stay tuned for more information.
