While the Los Angeles Lakers season continues to get more and more disappointing, a lot of attention has been turned towards the future and the impending free agency of center Dwight Howard.
Howard has remained non-committal about his future, stating that his only focus right now is this season. Many have taken that to mean Dwight wants to play elsewhere. If that is the case, at least one team has already been crossed off the list according to ESPN’s Chris Broussard.
The Atlanta hawks will have a lot of cap room and Dwight is from Atlanta but he reportedly has ‘little interest’ in playing for his hometown team.
Some other potential landing spots include Houston and Dallas. Worth noting though, the Lakers can offer the most money and an extra year if a deal is reached between the two.
But as we know, Dwight is unpredictable. We’ll just have to wait and see.
