I like Savannah, she appears to the opposite of most “Basketball Almost Wives”. Pretty low key, doesn’t cause any problems, not big on drama, good mother and been with Lebron since his hairline was fully intact.
If anyone deserves to be married to a baller it is her. She didn’t bat an eye when it was revealed Lebron had a secret baby mama (you can read the details about that here).
So, when Lebron proposed on New Year’s Eve a couple of years ago, it seemed like the right thing to do. A wedding was planned last summer, but it didn’t happen and now Lebron is wavering.
Here are a few details of the alleged problems that are going on between the two.
Brinson, 26, James’ high school sweetheart, has not been seen by the big man’s side in weeks, including at two important milestones in a basketball star’s life.
She wasn’t with him at the All-Star game in Houston, and at the world champion Heat’s congratulatory visit to the White House in January.
I’m told by a source that the couple briefly planned to get hitched sometime last summer, seven or eight months after the New Year’s eve party when James asked Brinson to marry him.
“Ms. Brinson visited a bridal market in New York,” said a manager at Ever After Miami, a bridal store in Coconut Grove that carries the fancy bridal line. The woman declined to give her name. “But any other information about Ms. Brinson would be confidential.”
I’m told several news organizations were angling for exclusive access to the ceremony but talks broke down abruptly with no explanations sometime in late summer.
I think it was more odd that Savannah didn’t attend the White House Ceremony than NBA All-Star, people don’t turn down opportunities like that to meet the President of the United States and I don’t believe she voted for Romney.
Only Savannah and Lebron knows what is really going on, but once Kobe Bryant retires, Lebron is going to be the undisputed most popular player in the world (regardless if you love or hate him) and maybe that is weighing on his decision. Maybe, D Wade who has to deal with a crazy high school sweetheart, who he married when he first got into the NBA is in his ear.
No one knows, but don’t expect wedding bells for Savannah and Lebron any time soon.
