The season opener for the Washington Redskins is seven months away, but that doesn’t stop the team from being optimistic. Per Adam Schefter, Redskins brass feel RG3 is on a good pace, and are encouraged he can start the season opener.
Redskins officials already are encouraged enough with @rgiii‘s recovery to believe he has a legitimate chance to start on opening day.

Griffin III stated at NFL Honors that week 1 was his ultimate goal.
“I’m going to take it slow. My goal is Week 1, that’s all I’m really worried about, so I’ll make sure I’m ready to go.”
I think the recovery of Jamaal Charles and most impressively, Adrian Peterson gives the Skins hope that Griffin III, who has an incredible work ethic can return.
