You might not know who Terrence Ross is now, but you will after the Raptors rookie competes in the this year’s NBA All-Star Dunk Contest…
Ross has announced that he will launch a fundraising campaign in correlation with his participation in this year’s All-Star Weekend that will benefit Dunk Cancer.
The campaign will begin February 14th with a 72-hour twitter based online fundraiser where the rookie will trade and RT tweets, share his All-Star experiences, run contest and announce surprises via his twitter handle @T_DotFlight31.
The highlight of this campaign will feature his participation in the dunk contest where Ross has committed to donating $2,000 for every round he advances.
Dunk Cancer is an initiative that contributes to cancer-benefiting non-profits through basketball. The organization brings the basketball community together to help individuals and families affected by cancer to overcome their present battles and to support cure research.
Commendable gesture by the Raptors 1st round pick. Best of luck to him as he competes in the dunk contest this year
