It’s been awhile since we’ve seen or really heard from Houston Texans All Pro linebacker Brian Cushing. Cushing tore his ACL after a nasty cut block From the Jets Matt Slauson.
Per the Houston Texans team website, and owner Bob McNair, Cushing is about a week away from jogging, and ahead of schedule in his rehab.
#TexansRadio @briancushing56 (ACL): “I’m about a week out of jogging right now. Really looking forward to that.”

Cushing: “It’s been a long, long journey & I still have a lot to go, but it just makes me cherish playing that much more.” #TexansRadio

The healthy return of Cushing is crucial for a team that by the end of the playoffs had all backups starting at linebacker and as a defense was unable to carry the equal weight of their high-profile offensive counterparts.
