Broncos want DE Elvis Dumervil To Take A Pay Cut, Or Risk Being Released

Elvis Dumervil has put up some gaudy sack numbers as a member of the Denver Broncos, but he’s 29 years of age, and its at this point that NFL brass feel a player will start to slip.

Dumervil is set to earn $12 million this season, and according to Pro Football Talk, the Broncos aren’t interested in paying that number.

Reports suggest that Dumervil will have to restructure that salary or risk being cut. Sources say the Broncos were interested in Dwight Freeney to pair with Dumervil, but could end up having him replace Elvis.
