Carmelo Anthony Hurts Knee Against Cavaliers
A scary moment for Knicks fans as Carmelo Anthony did not return in tonight’s game vs the Cavs after going down with a knee injury.
ESPN NY reports that Melo went down midway through the 2nd quarter when he apparently tripped near midcourt without contact. After the game coach Mike Woodson issued the following statement:
“I don’t know,”
“We’ll know a little bit more tomorrow when we get to Detroit. … It was bothering him a little bit.”
Anthony entered tonight’s game tied with Kevin Durant for highest scoring average in the League in 28.6, but was just 1 of 5 for shooting with three turnovers tonight before exiting.
